 Types of Window Tint DIY kits

That's right, now you can get DIY Window Tinting kits for your home, office or shop. If you live in a remote area, or just simply want to save around 30-40% on normal installation costs, then installing Solar Control Film yourself is the answer.

Is your place too hot, or maybe there's too much light coming in. You know that having your windows tinted will solve both these problems, but it's either not in your budget or there are no installers within "Cooee" of you. But now you can Do It Yourself.

Tinting flat glass is not a difficult job! With a few basic tools and a bit of patience, virtually anyone can install solar control film on their home, office or shop windows. You'll get all the benefits of tinted windows at a much reduced cost, and best of all - you installed it yourself.

There are 5 easy steps to the DIY Window Tinting proccess:

    1. Decide on type of Film Kit;
    2. Choose the type of film you want - how much heat rejection and light control.

    3. Choose your tools or a toolkit for your installation

    4. Place the order at our online shop.

    5. Install the film - Please read the instructions , look at the step by step photographs and view the videos (page may take some time to load due to the number of photos on page).

Types of Film Kits are listed below:

      Measure your windows and choose a Cut Film Kit;

      • Cut Length Film - purchase film by the metre to suit your overall film requirements, then cut & install according to your measurement plan. Follow the measuring instructions (steps 1 - 13), then purchase the required film lengths online.

      • Window Pack Film - most domestic windows are within certain common sizes, just choose the pack that fits your window measurements. Follow the measuring instructions (steps 1 - 5), then choose which window packs meet your requirements and purchase your required film packs online.

      • Cut Size Film - email your window sizes for quote and have film cut  as individual pieces (additional cutting fee included in quote). Follow the measuring instructions (steps 1 - 5), then email or post the measurements to me. I will reply with a quote (based on your measurements) and a link for payment arrangements for your 'cut size' film. (note: film is cut slightly oversize to allow for final trimming)

      No need to pre-measure your windows ;

Note: It is advisable to purchase a little extra film to practice installation on a small window.

Any products purchased (film kits and/or toolkits) are freighted Australia-wide for AUD$20.00 per order (not per item) plus GST - this is automatically added to the cost when purchasing via the online store and associated shopping cart facility.
